A dispensary is a bridge.

At first glance, building one looks straightforward — the materials are all there, the path forward seems obvious. But dispensaries don't fail because capital, software, or staff are unavailable. They fail because the engineering is wrong. Too much material in the wrong spots. Support missing where the load actually demands it. Stress poorly distributed. No one anticipating how heavy the future would be.

I came to this work through engineering. The training isn't really about equations — it's systems thinking, constraint management, and how to keep efficiency intact under pressure. Years of actually operating cannabis retail taught me how those principles translate into a category where margins are thin, the rules keep moving, and operational variables refuse to sit still.

So I approach this the way a structural engineer approaches a bridge: analyze the load, design the support system, eliminate waste, build for durability. Load distributed properly across people, technology, capital, process, inventory, compliance, and customer experience — so the business doesn't merely open, but endures.
